Shopping

Today I went to a fetish shop that was recommended to me.

As I arrived, I saw some lingerie in the window display, as well as some other clothing, it all looked rather inviting, even though there could be no doubt what kind of shop it is. So I walked in and looked around, after turning off my mp3 player: I don't like to wear headphones when chances are I'll be talking to people, I find that as rude as talking on my cell phone while trying to communicate with someone else.

I started with looking at the corsets and the leather wear. While browsing the jewellery, I was addressed by the woman behind the counter, I was rather surprised she talked to me in English: she's an American who opened a shop over here. It's a funny old world, isn't it?

I walked over to her and we chatted a bit about her shop and merchandise, when she offered me a drink. I was very happy to accept a cup of tea. We were joined in our conversation by some other people, who obviously visited that shop a lot, and before I know it, four of us were standing in front of the shop for a smoke, me with my tea.

I then went down a floor to look at the toys. There were a lot of nice floggers, vibrators and butt plugs of all kinds, and some things I have no idea what they're being used for. Very interesting to say the least.

After some more talking and joking with a couple of very nice young gentlemen, I tried out and bought a Wartenberg wheel, as well as a beautiful silver triskellion. The latter was on a rather short piece of ribbon, but I've put it on a leather cord now, so I can wear it as a necklace. After paying I was invited to take a lollipop, so as I walked back to the bus stop I was sucking something sweet.

All in all a nice and relaxing experience, and I already know I'll be visiting that shop again.

  3. Hey Julia, I found you!
Thanks for telling me about Julia's Debut.
No, I have no idea where that title comes from, although it does ring a bell about a story I read over at PK's.
How is Susan? Has she told you any new stories yet?

Nope, your comment reply to Bas below puts you in the cool camp.

Come to think of it, Bas has only used English on his own blog...guess that means only you are cool!

  4. Geen idee waarom je Engels gebruikt als je het tegen mij hebt, Bas.
For the Dutch language challenged: No idea why you'd be using English while addressing me, Bas.
It must be because English is the common language for the internet, and because my story was written in English as well. English is not my first language, but it certainly is my second, and I use it on a daily basis, especially when communicating with my on-line friends.

Susan is talking to me, but it's taking me time to get it all down in a version fit for people to read. She's ranting a bit, at the moment, and I need to order it a bit. This takes time, but I'll get there. I just have no idea when.

    1. Wel, ik ben er in ieder geval ingetuind. Herkende absoluut niet de Nederlandse herkomst van het verhaal. Pas toen ik je profiel zag kwam ik er achter.
Well, you got me fooled. Absolutely did not recognize the Dutch roots of the story. Only when I saw your Google profile I realized this.

  6. Hello,I found you from your story on PK's site. I want to welcome you to the blogging world and to ttwd lifestyle. I will look forward to reading your blog and besides talking about the lifestyle, I hope you will tell your US readers about yourself and what it is like living in the Netherlands. I enjoy hearing from bloggers in Europe.

And I hope you will put up a followers list on your blog.

P.S. Try to get rid of the prove you're not a robot thing. It makes it more difficult to send you comments.

    Good luck, and again, welcome.

    1. Thank you for telling me. I've been changing some settings, so it should now be easier to follow me or post comments.
I'm new to this blogging malarkey, and the options were rather hard to find, so I never realised what I could do to make my blog more accessible. Please let me know if you notice something else.
